Preliminary drawing for completed work "Dispatch".

Physical description

A drawing in pencil on white coloured paper featuring a quill, and a border comprised of symbols and animal-like creatures. In the centre of the image is a letter that reads 'Ramorne 1841 / After having received accounts from divers of savage / crimes committed by native aboriginees, including the / robbery of a shepherds hut at Ramorne station, my / constable with a party of suitably armed settlers were, / under my express command, sent out to discipline the / aboriginees'. The number '4' is written at the top towards the right hand side.
