Cylindrical wooden shaft spear with a flat eliptical metal head hafted with black adhesive and bound with orange pigmented fibre string. The metal head has a diamond patterned band on both sides featuring white outlines on a red background with some diamonds filled with white crosshatching. Near the head is a text in black ink "MIL". The other end of the spear is blunt and has a blob of black resin and binding. The spear is pigmented for about 500 millimetres from the end and finishes with a thin binding, possibly sinew. On this pigmented section is the number "743" in white ink.
