Glass lantern slide with a black and white image depicting a printed reward poster. Some text reads: 'V. (decorated English Coat of Arms) R. COLONIAL SECRETARYS OFFICE. 4000 POUNDS REWARD FOR THE APPREHENSION OF JOHN GILBERT, JOHN O'MEALLEY, BEN... JAMIN HALL and JOHN VANE'. Detailed conditions of the reward notice are explained. Signed by 'WILLIAM FORSTER'. Dated 'OCTOBER, 26, 1863'. Handwritten text in blue biro on the glass slide frame reads: 'POSTER' '23'. (top). Held in case (2001.15.85) titled - 'ROBBERY UNDER ARMS'.
