Cream-coloured invitation with floral border. A vignette of the Earl of Hopetoun is surrounded by a waratah wreath on the left side. It has the Australian coat-of-arms superimposed on a pair of Australian national flags above it. A Royal coat-of-arms is superimposed on the Union Jack and Royal Standard in the middle near the top. This is an invitation to a municipal and civil luncheon in the Town Hall, Sydney, on 7 Januray 1901, to commemorate the swearing in of the Governor General.
