Shield

Physical description

A wooden parrying shield in one piece with a bowed anterior and a diamond shaped cross section, with a bulge at the handle which is carved in solid. The ends of the shield taper to a rounded point and anterior facets are incised with groups of parallel chevrons. Adze marks visible under surface smoothing
