Bowl with pokerwork designs

Object information

Physical description

Black and brown wooden bowl, with a plain interior, and exterior covered with burnt engraved designs. In the centre of the design is a small oblong shape which is filled with parallel curved lines. Close to the four corners are four separate segments. At the centre of each segment is a plain multi-curved pattern. From this are two concentric bands, the first filled with short lines, the second filled with short parallel curved lines. At either end are two segments which are filled with curved parallel lines.
