Goanna sculpture

Object information

Physical description

Wooden sculpture of a narrow long goanna. Its head is an elliptical shape with burnt engraved nose, mouth and oval eyespots. The goanna has a long neck and the head is tilted to its left, the tail is wavy, and the goanna has four legs. The design on the exterior coating of the object consists of continuous consecutive overlapping semi circular engravings. Lower area is plain.
