Permission for convict Edward Evans to pass from Launceston to Campbell Town Police Office

Physical description

A double sided sheet of paper in the form of a printed pro-firma with handwritten entries. The document gives Edward Evans, the holder of a ticket of leave, permission to pass from Launceston to Campbell Town Police Office, dated 13 December 1844. It has a coat-of-arms on the front, and the reverse gives the personal details of the convict in question. It is signed by the convict, and another signature appears as well, both these signatures are upside down. Edward Evans is described as having a dark complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes and being 26 years old.
