Ceramic Wedgwood meat plate from the North Head Quarantine Station

Physical description

A ceramic Wedgwood meat plate from the North Head Quarantine Station which is glazed white with a blue pattern. The centre of the plate is flat with a high raised rim. The central design is of a man holding a tethered bull, surrounded by geometric patterns. Panels around the outer edge of plate depict cherubs, deer, cows, sheep, and a blue border. The reverse of the plate is inscribed with 'Wedgwood'.
