Handwritten message on reverse is addressed to 'Mr J Westwood / Campbell St / St Peters / Sydney' and reads 'To Dear Jack / Wishing Him / A Merry Christmas / and a Happy New / Year. We all wish / you and all a Merry / Christmas from / Ena [?]cash / Dec 22nd 1909'

Physical description

Postcard with a colour painting by J Norton titled 'DAMPER AND TEA', mounted on white card. The painting features a swagman dipping his billy into a river that is lined with gum trees. His swag is nearby beside the fire and a riverboat with barge proceeds towards him in the distance. 'Christmas Greetings' is printed in gold in the bottom corner of the border. There is a short message on the reverse, dated 22 Dec 1909.
