Description

Printed quote on lower front edge reads 'And I stood by the creek 'ere the sunset grew cold, / When the leaves of the sheoaks are traced on the gold.' - Henry Lawson'

Handwritten message on reverse is addressed to 'Mrs Waugh / 10 Paul Street / Balmain East / Sydney' and reads 'I / am sending / parcel by / Friday train / Mrs Conradi / Berry St / [crossed out]'

Physical description

Postcard with a black and white photograph of a tree-lined river with a mountain in the background, and a quote from Henry Lawson. There is a message on the reverse, and a postmark which reads "6 Dec 1906".
