"I like getting turtles and I like to cook them and fry them. And we catch a little turtle ... we don't eat it... we let it go. We tie a rag around it ... for memories." - Chantelle Hobson, 2002

Physical description

A linocut print in black ink on white paper depicting a turtle and an Aboriginal flag. A long black line extends from the rear right foot of the turtle, and surrounds both the turtle and flag. Handwritten text in pencil below the print reads 'Turtles / Chantelle Hobson'. The linocut is mounted under black matt-board.
