This is the Rainbow Snake in the stone country of Gumadir, close to the top of Liverpool river [sic]. She is wearing a ceremonial feather head ornament, djamar & is said to be a rock python, nawaran (catalogue worksheet for 1985.0153.0034 compiled by Dr Helen Groger-Wurm).
A bark painting worked with ochres on bark. It depicts a snake in a coiled position with its head in the centre. The snake is crosshatched in brown, cream, red and black rectangular shapes,which are outlined in black and white. The painting has a red background.
