Object information

Physical description

A human figure carved from wood. There are incisions depicting eyes, nose, a mouth with teeth, and ears. There are no carved arms, and the legs are carved with clearly defined thighs, calves, and feet with distinct toes. The body is decorated with bands of incised arcs on the legs, and along the sides of the torso, suggestive of arms, and concentric rounded lozenges in the centre of the torso, all filled with lime. The back is plain except for the number 33 marked in green.
