Physical description

A postcard featuring a black and white photograph of a steam train with the name "EDWARD HENTY" on the side, and a message on the back. The image shows a dark coloured steam engine with streamlined style front section that encloses the chimney The front of the engine has the symbol of a pair of wings with "VR" between them beneath a circular light.The address at the top of the postcard reads "2 James Street / Glen huntly S.E.9 / Vic". The message reads in part "My Dear Flo and Clare, I am quite safe and safe & sound, and had / a lovely trip over, and Jess & Will are doing all / they can to make me well & happy...../ This was the train / I caught from Albury to Melbourne..."
