Railway Station, Albury

Physical description

A postcard featuring a black and white photograph of a railway station, and a message on the front and back. The image shows a raised railway platform with a row of brick buildings with hipped roofs, and a square tower. The tower has circular air vents on the sides and a cupola on columns at the top. The buildings hae a gabled verandahs that extend over the platform. A group of men are posed in a line on the platform with a sign that reads "ALBURY" at their feet. Text underneath the photograph reads "Railway Station, Albury." At the right side there is handwritten text that reads "Aunts address is / Onslow Road / "Subiaco" / West. Australia". The address on the back reads "Miss Millie Burton / c/. Mrs Pitt / Bowenfels / N.S.W. / Western Line.". The message starts "Albury / 10.06.06 / Dear Millie / I received / your p.c. & letter, glad / to hear you are better / very sorry to hear of your / misfortune...."
