Silver Jubilee visit 1977 medallion in presentation folder

Physical description

A sterling silver medallion in a blue plastic folder with two postage stamps, map, certificate of authenticity and a letter. The medallion features an image of Queen Elizabeth II on the front with the text "ELIZABETH II QUEEN OF AUSTRALIA SILVER JUBILEE 1977" around the edge. On the back of the medallion are the letters ER with II between them surrounded by a circular wreath of leaves. Around the edge of the medallion is the text "HER MAJESTY'S SILVER JUBILEE VISIT TO AUSTRALIA MARCH 1977" The medallion is surrounded by a cardboard insert with text on both sides, within a plastic sleeve. Two Australian postage stamps are adhered cardboard insert, above the medallion and feature Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip. A postmark for Canberra with the date 7 March 1977 partly covers both stamps. The certificate of authenticity is a piece of paper inside the cover of the blue folder. It is signed by Gregory Canley and dated 7 March 1977. The map is on a folded piece of A5 paper and shows Australia with the route and itinerary of the royal visit. The letter headed "FRANKLIN MINT" is on cream paper and relates to the medallion.
