Physical description

A postcard featuring a black and white photograph of a steam train at a station with people nearby, and a message on the back. The image shows a steam train at a station with people moving away from it towards the gap in the fence in the foreground. There is a station building behind the train with a verandah and a large metal box on a platform to the side of the train. The people around the train include men, women and children. The women wear large hats and long skirts. The men mostly wear suits with bowler or straw hats. In the foreground to the right of the photograph are a number of horses and carriages. The address reads "Miss L. Watkin / c/o " Mr" C Tomlinson, / 24 Queen St, / Newtown, / Sydney". The message reads "Dear Letty, / I am coming in same / train as Auntie & it / gets to Sydney at 4.10 / Don't forget to meet me. / Love from Annie". The card has a postage stamp and two postmarks on it.
