Physical Description

A postcard featuring a black and white photograph of a train station, and a message on the back. The station building has sharply gabled rooves with decorative bargeboards. There is also a verandah extending over the platform with metal filigree decoration at the top of the columns. The sign on the platform is for "BLAYNEY". In the foreground there are wooden train trucks and at the far end of the platform is a steam engine. At the bottom left is the text "RAILWAY STATION BLAYNEY" and initials. On the back the message is dated 12 May 1911 and starts "My Dear Flo / Yesterday it turned cold & Bleak up here / thought it was going to snow - this morning / is also very cold suppose it will keep on / wet & cold after this ..."
