Physical description

An unused postcard featuring a black and white illustration. The cartoon has a bald man in a suit holding a hat being handed a certificate by a hand coming out of a cloud. The hand has "OLD SOL" printed on it. The certificate lists record weather temperatures for Adelaide SA in January 1939. The text next to the cartoon reads "SOUVENIR / OF / SOUTH / AUSTRALIA'S / RECORD / HEAT-WAVE (Reprinted from / "The News" / 16-1-39)."
