A postcard featuring a pen and ink drawing of the faces of a soldier and a woman in a hat. Titled "Anzac Series... why the Australian hat / turns up at the side.". On the back of the postcard is written "Xmas Day / 1916 / I find the hat handy / myself these damp nights / when it is too damp / to take your hat off / George". The postcard is addressed to "Miss M. Donnelly / Raleigh St / North Sydney / Sydney / NSW".
