A postcard featuring a mounted photograph, taken from the land looking to seaward, with the text "AUSTRALIANS LANDING UNDER SHRAPNEL FIRE AT GALLIPOLI PENINSULA". On the bottom right hand side of the card is text reading "THE STAR / PHOTO STUDIO / CAIRO". An ink inscription on the back of the card reads "Phenzirib Palace / Cairo / 26-6-15 / My Dear Mother... Yes I am having / a good time but for the experience I / wish in God power not to Ever to go through / anythink [sic] of the Like again...".
