Physical description

A postcard featuring a coloured scene of draped furled flags of Britain and Australia, tied back to reveal "Royal Australian Navy / H.M.A.S. "SYDNEY", PROTECTED CRUISER". At top of card is printed "The Warship that captured the German Cruiser "Emden", Nov.9th, 1914". At the bottom of the postcard along left hand margin is printed "Queen Flag of the North, Queen Flag of the South, / Whose links grow ever stronger". The postcard is unused.
