Physical description

A postcard featuring a colour sketch of men wearing military uniform walking out of a dining hall and wiping their cutlery in the dirt. Printed text reads in part "Sketches / of Tommy's life / At the Base - No 2" and "You clean your knife and fork by shoving 'em in the sand, here at the Base. It's much better than washing them." The image is signed by F. Mackain. Printed text on the back of the postcard reads "Imp. G. SAVIGNY, Paris. - P.G.
