A postcard featuring a colour sketch of a number of soldiers carrying poles up a hillside. Bullets or bombs are flying about the air. Printed text reads in part "Sketches / of Tommy's life / Out on rest - No 3", "Sometimes when you are <>, you think you'd almost rather / stop in the trenches" and "Visé Paris 800". The image is signed by F. Mackain. Printed text on the back of the postcard reads "Imp. G. SAVIGNY, Paris. - P.G."
