Object information

Physical description

A postcard featuring a coloured print of German forces soundly asleep on the ground, their rifles stacked in neat tripod formation, and swords stuck into the ground. Overhead, in the swirling mist, French soldiers can be seen advancing, attacking and bayonetting the fleeing enemy. In the mist is a French word "LE CAUCHEMAR" [The Nightmare]. The card is unused.
