Description

The white man standing on the far right is Lionel Gee, a geologist. The photograph may have been taken in Darwin, Northern Territory.

Physical Description

Black and white glass plate negative. Clothed Aboriginal men in two rows, with a white man standing either side of them, in front of a possible corrugated iron fence or building. Six Aboriginal men stand at the back and five sit cross-legged in front of them. Chains can be seen hanging from the waists of some of the standing Aboriginal men and around the ankles of some of the seated men.
