Object information

Physical description

A pair of black and brown wooden bird sculptures, both standing upright on a rounded base and covered with burnt pokerwork designs. On one, the neck and top of the broad tail are covered with parallel curved lines, the body is covered with a pattern of overlapping semi-circles, and the underside of the neck and tail are shaded. On the other, the back of the head, neck and body are covered with overlapping arcs and semi-circles, the underside of the head, neck, chest, and tail are speckled, and the top of the tail is covered with curved diagonal lines.
