Physical description

A "WHITE" branded black metal treadle sewing machine that folds into a wooden table/cabinet with two wide metal legs (that divide to make four feet). The sewing machine bears a metal plaque that reads "WHITE / SEWING / MACHINE" and has a looped length of leather that runs around a metal wheel on the side of the machine and down to the metal wheel connected to the treadle. A wooden flap on top of the table, that folds over the sewing machine once it is inside, has a chessboard of light and dark wood inlaid into it. The legs of the object are black metal and feature the text "WHITE / USA" on each one as well as wheels on each of the four feet.
