Red painted metal stamp dispenser. On the front at the top there is a silver coloured panel with engraved coin denominations and their corresponding slots. On the right of the front surface is a panel with a dial and instructions on the machine's operation. Three indicator lights are below the slots and below these, a metal crank handle. Below this is a square opening with a hinged perspex opening inwards. There are three holes on the back.
This collection consists of 87 items from the New South Wales historical section of Australia Post. The items range from furnishings that were used for the opening of the Sydney GPO in 1874 to telephones, signs, posters, and postal boxes. The material covers a period of over one hundred years of postal service in Australia.
