A multi-coin attachment for public telephone (P.M.G. Serial 35, Item 30). The metal box is painted black with silver coloured letters "A" and "B" riveted to the front below a protruding lock. A silver coloured panel at the top is embossed with "10c" and "20c" next to a coin slot. There is a small locked drawer at the bottom left side.
This collection consists of 87 items from the New South Wales historical section of Australia Post. The items range from furnishings that were used for the opening of the Sydney GPO in 1874 to telephones, signs, posters, and postal boxes. The material covers a period of over one hundred years of postal service in Australia.
