White canvas post bag with six plastic "D" rings attached to the top with short straps. The Australia Post logo is printed in black on one side above a map of Australia and "6.94 No.1" and "Theft or misuse of this bag is a criminal offence / penalties apply". A green Australia Post label with "Empty bags" is printed in black and over stamped with "Bagroom 10 large canvas" is tied with green string around a section of the bag.
This collection consists of 87 items from the New South Wales historical section of Australia Post. The items range from furnishings that were used for the opening of the Sydney GPO in 1874 to telephones, signs, posters, and postal boxes. The material covers a period of over one hundred years of postal service in Australia.
