Description

'T Sargent' is likely to be Thomas Sargent (1832-1910), a farmer who grew wheat on his property at 'Rose Vale' near Boorowa [aka Burrowa] in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Sargent was a frequent exhibitor of rural produce at agricultural shows in the surrounding districts. In 1903 he also donated metallurgical samples from Boorowa to the Sydney Technologivcal Museum. This is a sample of the Steinweidal variety of wheat.
