Physical description

Wolseley brand two-stand portable shearing plant. 32-volt, three horse-power single-cylinder petrol engine [R-Type?], mounted on wooden trolley base with metal axles below bearing four cast iron wheels. Plant bears cast iron drive wheels to left and right, exhaust pipe at top, rear. Connects to cylindrical metal drum at front, supporting cast iron unit with drive wheel to side (operating by belt drive from engine drive wheel). Engine painted green decorated with painted 'WOLSELEY' and with metal manufacturer's plate bearing text 'WOLSELEY / SHEEP SHEARING / MACHINE COMPANY LTD. / BIRMINGHAM / ENGLAND'.
